Feb 24 – Monday: SPRUCE MOUNTAIN TRAIL, Palmer Lake. Gisele
Miyamoto hike leader. Spruce Mountain is a limestone butte located east
of the Rampart Range. On top of the butte the trail is a shaded loop going
through pine and fir forest. There are excellent views of Pikes Peak, the
Rampart Range, Greenland Open Space, and the Palmer Divide. 5.3
miles, 577 ft elev gain, highest altitude about 7,500 ft.
