MULE CREEK, 4 mi north of WoodlandPark on Hwy 67. This
beautiful hike follows a babbling creek in a moderate climb through dense conifer forest
and grass meadows. We often see wildflowers. The trail is mostly dry sand and hard
packed soil. There are a few creek crossings that may be wet due to recent rain. Hike
length 4-4.5 mi, elev gain about 400 feet, highest altitude 8,400 ft, Moderate. No dogs
