Hiking – Hornbek Wildlife Loop

Hornbek Wildlife Loop, Florissant Fossil Beds
National Monument, Divide, Pat Zeddies hike leader. Leaving from
the Hornbek Homestead, we ascend through a Ponderosa forest with
a short side trip to the Geologic Overlook. Then we descend to the
Visitor Center via the Big Stump to learn about the unique fossil
deposits in this area. We return to the Homestead across rolling
meadows. ~4.5 miles, 500 ft. Easy to Moderate.
