Driving Directions to the Trailhead: From I-25 Exit 149 drive east on Woodmen Road 6.2 miles. Turn left on Black Forest Road and proceed 4 miles to Burgess RD. Turn right on Burgess RD and proceed about 0.7 miles to parking area and trailhead on the left.
Hike Description: This hike is a loop trail that travels through woodlands with a few open areas. We will pass by the slash mulch operation (shuttered for the winter) and the School in the Woods. The trail has a few hills.
Distance: About 4 miles.
Elevation Gain: About 200 ft.
Hike time: About 2 hours.
Difficulty: Easy
