Discount for early Sign-Up This year, as was the case for last year, we will offer a $10 discount per trip if you sign up prior to December 23,2024. Bus trip costs $60 to $65 depending on destination Most trips are $60 except for the Vail/Copper bus which is $65. After December 23, 2024, prices increase to $70 for Monarch, Breck/Copper and Keystone/A-Basin trips, and $75 for Vail/Copper. Guests will always be $10 more than members. Nordic skiers and snowshoers are welcome Nordic skiers and snowshoers at Breck can access the Breck Nordic center on Peak 8 from the Breck Gondola lot or continue on to the Frisco Nordic Center. At Breck, there are three beginner trails, on-site rentals and guided snowshoe adventure tours. On Keystone trips, the default stop will be the Keystone Nordic center unless all Nordic skiers agree to an alternate location as mentioned above. Sign-Up is first come, first served YOUR SKI BUS RESERVATION IS BASED ON THE DATE Reserved with Signup Genius or when check is RECEIVED. Know where to meet the bus Pick up point is the Safeway parking lot at 3275 West Colorado Ave (except for Vail trips). Monarch trips route will be via Hwy 24 with stop in Woodland Park to 285 to 50; Breck and Keystone trips route will be via Hwy 24 with stop in Woodland Park and Fairplay. These buses will stop in Woodland Park. If you want to be picked up in Woodland Park, indicate that when you sign up. Vail trips will meet at the Woodmen Park and Ride (near I-25) and travel I-25 to C470 to I-70. The Vail bus will not stop at Woodland Park. Guests are welcome If you have a guest who would like to join the trip, you need to contact Larry Price. If you are not a member of the PPOTHG, you must sign a waiver (i.e. guests or SnoJets Ski Club). Please complete this form and keep a copy. If you pay by check include this form with check. Sign ups are through Sign Up Genius Starting this year, use Signup Genius to sign up for the trips you want to reserve. Happy Hour on the Bus Home! We will have a happy hour on the ride home. If you have a beverage preference, please indicate that in the comment field when you sign up! Payment The preferred payment method is by credit card on SignUp Genius. There will be a 5% fee for credit card use, but refunds for approved cancellations will occur within 48 hours of cancellation request. Trips will have limits on the number of riders, so please sign up as soon as possible to ensure you have a seat on the bus. SignUp Genius will also give you visibility into who is also signed up for each of the ski buses. Please enter in the comments field of Signup Genius if you are being picked up at Woodland Park P&R and/or which ski resort you are being dropped off at for the day if it is a multi-ski resort option. Cancellations If you need to cancel a trip, please do so here on Signup Genius. If you do this at least 10 days before the scheduled trip, you will receive a refund on your credit card within 48 hours of cancellation. If you cancel from nine days to 48 hours in advance, if approved, you may switch to another trip on a space available basis or you may ask Larry to sell your seat. If your seat cannot be sold, your payment is forfeited. Larry is the only person authorized to sell or exchange a seat. If you must cancel at the last minute, call or text Larry 719-210-7286. FinePrint We leave promptly at 6:30 a.m. from the Safeway parking lot in Old Colorado City. (Safeway 3275 West Colorado Ave Colorado Springs, CO). To allow time to board, you should try to arrive no later than 6:15 a.m. When boarding on our combined Copper/Breckenridge and Keystone/Arapahoe Basin, Vail/Copper trips be sure to let our driver know which of the optional resorts you plan to ski that day, as he will be separating the skis to avoid confusion and delay. Vail trips will leave from the Woodmen Park and Ride near 1-25 at 0600. 1. If we have less than 40 passengers 10 days prior to the trip, but at least 34 the bus will be converted to a 36 seat bus, if available and/or with riders approval, utilize a different transportation method. Otherwise, cancelled to obtain a refund without penalty. A waiting list will be utilized in case of illness or lack of reservations so that we can ensure 40 riders. 2. We leave the ski area promptly at 3:30 p.m. – except for Monarch which will depart at 4:00 PM . To allow time to board, you should return to the pick-up point (same as the drop-off point) no later than 3:15 p.m- 3:45 for Monarch. On the combined Copper / Breckenridge and Keystone / Arapahoe Basin trips, the Copper and Arapahoe Basin skiers will leave their ski area at 3:15 p.m. to return to Keystone and Breckenridge to pick up those skiers at approximately 3:30 p.m. For Vail, we will depart at 4:00 and pickup folks from Copper at 4:30, returning to Woodman Park & Ride at 7:00 p.m. 3. Skis are transported underneath the bus. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED, to put your skis and poles in a “SKI BAG,” to help avoid losing your poles or taking the wrong ones. 4. Please consider the comfort and safety of your fellow skiers. Do not bring anything that is too large to fit into the overhead rack or on the floor under the seat in front of you. We can eat and drink on the bus. 5. The bus will be locked if you want to leave something on the bus while skiing. 6. Payment by credit card in SignUp Genius is preferred since it simplifies record keeping and avoids confusion. 8. The bus is equipped with a bathroom so we will not be stopping for a break. 9. Refunds, if provided, will be based on a formula developed to ensure the Ski Bus program covers its costs. However, to ensure a refund you must cancel your reservation 10 days in advance. Just not showing up is unacceptable. Refunds are given within 48 hours of cancellation when done so through the Signup Genius at least 10 days before scheduled trip. 10. Each season we have several people who leave items on the bus or take the wrong stuff home. Please add some form of distinguishing markings to your bag to make it easier to pick out in the dark and double check that you have the right stuff. |
